Extra Curricular activities in Science
At Southam College we strongly believe that Science should not be confined to the classroom and offer pupils experiences in science in wider contexts. Curriculum enrichment days throughout the year provide the opportunity for a range of experiences for all pupils. Science Club is well attended on a fortnightly basis during lunchtimes and many trips are offered for different Year groups such as museum experiences such as Think Tank in Birmingham, competitions with pupils from other schools and visits to Rugby School lectures and Universities to name but a few. After school sessions are provided throughout the year for pupils to experience science in a very different light by looking at Science topics through another subject - eg. 'Science through Art', 'Science through Film' and 'Science through History'.
